Concentration
Weekend Retreat
Saturday - Sunday Morning
18 and 19th of April
Concentration is key to successful meditation and inner transformation. In this one-and-half-day retreat, international teacher Gen Kelsang Ananda will guide us in establishing or strengthening our practice of this mental component. Because a distracted mind cannot focus properly, it misses out on the countless benefits of single-pointed meditation and contemplation. These include:
access to calm, smooth and relaxed states of mind that will permeate into our daily life.
increased protection from agitated minds such as irritation, anger, craving or discontentment
a mental suppleness or serviceability that allows progress and increases confidence in our spiritual practice
Using Buddha Shakyamuni himself as an object of concentration has some special qualities. Gen Ananda will guide meditations in which he will help reveal those through our own experience.
The instructions of this course will come from Meaningful To Behold and
The Clear Light of Bliss by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
This course is suitable both all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.
Each session can be attended on a drop-in basis.
Gen Kelsang Ananda is an international teacher
and long-tome student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
He conveys Buddha’s teachings in a clear, practical
and light-hearted way.
