Ego
Day Retreat
Saturday 15th of November
Taking care of ourselves is an essential part of well-being, but we should not confuse this with self-cherishing—the mind that inflates our own importance—which is the root of our mental suffering. In this in-depth day course of teachings and meditation, we will learn to:
identify the ego within our own mind
understand how it underpins unpleasant experiences and deeper forms of suffering
dissolve it mentally and nurture a realistic view of our Self and Others, free from egocentric concerns
By gradually reducing the power of the ego, we’ll discover inner freedom and sustainable happiness. Faced with life’s challenges, a mind free from self-centered concerns remains peaceful and calm.
This ancient Buddhist wisdom is drawn from the books
How to Understand the Mind and Eight Steps to Happiness
by contemporary meditation master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
Gen Kelsang Ananda is an international teacher
and long-tome student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
