GEN KELSANG
ANANDA
In our modern Western world, healing is often understood as a process accomplished through external tools, medicine and scientific knowledge. Tremendous effort has been devoted to developing technologies for this purpose, while the inner science of healing from within has often been overlooked. Yet, despite remarkable advances in our ability to treat the body, we continue to experience mental and physical suffering.
With penetrating wisdom, Buddha analysed the causes of suffering, both mental and physical, and traced their deepest origins to the mind. Through this investigation, he came to understand how genuine and complete healing is possible for each of us. His teachings show us how, by understanding and transforming our mind, we can gradually free ourselves from the inner causes of suffering and discover a profound source of peace and well-being within.
In our busy and challenging lives, inevitably touched by ailments of both body and mind, the clear, practical and timeless Buddhist methods of inner healing are more relevant than ever. In this introductory public talk, Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Ananda will share practical insights and meditations based on the teachings of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, a fully accomplished meditation master of our times.
This public talk is free and open to everyone, with no previous experience of Buddhism or meditation required.
It will be given in English language with live Greek translation or surtitles 🇬🇧 → 🇬🇷
