The Special Qualities of Medicine Buddha

Medicine Buddha's function is to free living beings from physical and mental illness. His blue wisdom-light body indicates that he is an emanation of the healing power of all Buddhas.

He helps us especially to be freed from the suffering caused by the three poisons: attachment, anger, and ignorance.

A Very Important Practice

It is said that the power of this practice increases as the confusion and the conflicts increase in the world, making it especially important for us at this particular time.

During this special weekend course, Gen Kelsang Ananda will in particular teach a commentary to the practice of the Medicine Buddha Sadhana through which, when practiced sincerely, you will gain a special power to both heal yourself and others.

Gen Kelsang Ananda is an international teacher
and long-tome student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
He conveys Buddha’s teachings in a clear, practical
and light-hearted way.
